Why Ceylon White Pepper
Grown in mid and low regions of Sri Lanka, known for its plentitude of the alkaloid, Ceylon white pepper is considered superior to the other types of white pepper found in the global market, as it is rich in piperine, which gives the Ceylon pepper a distinct pungency.
Ceylon produces only a mere 2% of white pepper to the world market. Ceylon white pepper has a high demand and a higher price for its richness in piperine. Tastes richly aromatic, with floral and citrus notes, while retains a strong pungency. Compared to other pepper, Ceylon white pepper is rich in piperine, which contains numerous health benefits. Process of production
Ceylon white pepper is harvested once every year during the monsoon season from May to August of the island nation. The ripe red colored berries will be harvested and the berries will be thrashed to separate the peppercorns without damaging the peppercorns.
These round shaped peppercorns will be cleaned to remove the red skin, this process will give the clean white peppercorns. The white peppercorns then be sun dried for 4 to 7 days under strict food safe environment to produce the world-renowned Ceylon white pepper.

- This is the only grade of Ceylon white pepper. It consists of fully ripened reddish pepper berries. It has a strong pungency than the other kinds of white pepper found in the market. White pepper is very rarely available in the market as farmers prefers to harvest the green color pepper berries rather than harvesting the fully ripened reddish pepper berries to avoid thefts and birds eating the berries.
